University Baptist Church

Who We Are

We proclaim Christ from all the Scriptures to make disciples from all the nations.

We gather as a church every Sunday to celebrate Christ’s resurrection from the dead. His Word commands us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves as those He has redeemed, and so with great joy we gather each Lord’s Day to worship God as he has instructed us in His Word and to praise his name for all he has done for us in Christ. Our primary aim when we gather is to see Jesus Christ exalted as we read God's Word, preach God’s Word, pray God’s Word, sing God’s Word, and see God’s Word enacted through the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

Come Worship Christ with us

Our Sunday Gathering

Everything we do is centered on the good news of Jesus: His life, death, and resurrection for sinners. Our prayer is that, together, we would grow in love for him and see more of his beauty and grace.

Our service begins at 10:30 and usually ends around noon. We seek to keep our focus on God, worshiping him according to his Word with thoughtful teaching, joyful singing, and a deep love for the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our music blends rich hymns and newer songs, with an emphasis on the congregation singing together.

We spend a good deal of time during the service hearing God’s Word read from both the Old and New Testaments, and offering prayers of praise and confession to God.

Throughout the service, we read from Scripture, pray together, and bring our needs to God as a church. Each week, an elder also leads us in a pastoral prayer.

Our preaching is expositional, walking through passages of the Bible and applying them to our lives. Sermons are about 45 minutes, and we regularly move between the Old and New Testaments.

We also celebrate baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We observe the Lord’s Supper monthly and welcome baptized believers who are part of a faithful gospel-preaching church to participate.

We would love to meet you this coming Lord's Day. We pray your time with us is a blessing to your soul.
